Before performance fabrics became the default, women moved in cotton. Yoga clothes were soft, simple and designed around the body, not around the idea of constantly optimizing it.
Somewhere along the way, activewear became more technical, more synthetic and increasingly similar.
NAY is our way back.
Retro activewear revival
NAY draws from the activewear of the 80s and 90s: fitted cotton tops, extra-high fold-over waists and long flare silhouettes.
We are not trying to reproduce the past.
We are bringing back what was worth keeping.
Our first set is made from 92% organic cotton and 8% elastane. No polyester.
The cotton gives it the softness and natural feel we were looking for. The elastane provides just enough stretch to move and retain its shape.
Studio 01 is produced responsibly in Portugal. We work through pre-orders so we can manufacture according to real demand, produce in considered quantities and avoid unnecessary excess.
